Definitions
1RC or 1RC.NET refers to any server or servers operating under the 1RC.NET domain name, providing services and functionalities associated with the 1RC network.
The Administrators refers to individuals authorized by the owner of a 1RC server to act as IRC operators, including the owners themselves, who oversee the management and operation of the network.
Terms and Conditions of Use
Please read these Terms of Use carefully. These terms include and incorporate the Privacy Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) (collectively referred to as “the Terms”).
1RC is a private IRC network; access is granted only to users who understand and agree to follow this Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). If you do not agree to these terms, please disconnect from all 1RC servers immediately and cease all attempts to access or use any 1RC services.
Your access to 1RC may be revoked at any time, either temporarily or permanently, for any reason, and without prior notice or explanation.
The administrators are not responsible for the actions of IRC users. IRC is an unmoderated environment, and you connect at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
THE ADMINISTRATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, HOWEVER CAUSED AND ON ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE), ARISING IN ANY WAY OUT OF THE USE, ATTEMPT TO USE, OR INABILITY TO USE THIS SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Security and Scanning
Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), 1RC may monitor and scan user systems to ensure they do not pose a security risk to our network or its users. By connecting to any 1RC server, you consent to such scans, which will be performed at the discretion of the administrators.
Any actions that disrupt, damage, or harm this network or its users, including the distribution of malicious software (viruses, malware, etc.), are prohibited under EU regulations and may result in legal actions.
Legal Compliance
Accessing 1RC after being specifically denied access is illegal. Violators may have their Internet Service Provider (ISP) or law enforcement agencies notified. Any suspected violation of this AUP or illegal activities may result in monitoring and disciplinary actions by the administrators, your ISP, and/or law enforcement agencies. The administrators will fully cooperate with any ISP, law enforcement agency, or court order to help apprehend suspects.
In accordance with GDPR and applicable EU law, any personal data collected or processed by 1RC is handled securely and transparently. You have the right to access, rectify, or request the deletion of your personal data, as well as the right to withdraw consent for any data processing, in compliance with applicable regulations.
Modification of Terms
These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time, and any modifications will be posted on the 1RC website. By continuing to use the 1RC network, you agree to abide by the most current version of these Terms.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the USA and European Union, including relevant provisions of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant EU regulations. In the event of any legal dispute, the competent courts in the US shall have jurisdiction, and the relevant US laws will apply.
Enforceability
